Thomas Sabo Fall Winter 2010

Mystery, adventure, romance and innocence are just a few of the themes Thomas Sabo sterling silver Fall/Winter 2010 collection encompasses.

My favourites:
key pendant with white syn. zirconia (code: TO229)
winged heart pendant with white syn. zirconia (TO227 and PE373)

I seemed to be drawn to the innocence display the most:

Thomas Sabo is famous for their charms.

I’m crazy about two-tone watches, and these burgundy/chocolate ones are just beautiful!

I admired the layout of the collection preview as much as the jewelry itself.

… and I walked out with a little something for me :)

I went to see Legally Blonde – The Musical last night. Of course I wore pink from head to toe. Ok, fine, the shoes were baby blue :)

The show was great, as a huge fan of the movie I enjoyed every single moment of it. Left the theatre hrs ago and I’m still singing the theme song :)

Blazer, sequin top and skirt – H&M
Pumps – Nine West
Watch - Michael Kors

Fun Summer Reads

My vacation in Cuba at the beginning of this month presented itself as the perfect opportunity to indulge in some light, fun, summer reading.

I finished reading Kelly Cutrone’s If You Have to Cry Go Outside during the flight. I was pleasantly surprised with this one, as I honestly picked up a copy not expecting much. I thought it would be a bunch of impersonal business-type of tips and tricks we’ve all heard a hundred times before. Instead I found myself reading about this (and I might add quite remarkable) woman’s journey from a homeless unqualified nobody to a kick-ass NYC entrepreneur. And it’s not all just career talk, Kelly also writes about her parents, daughter, ex husbands, friends, enemies, lovers…

The perfect book to read while lounging on the beach is Michael Tonello’s Bringing Home the Birkin. Those who love travel will enjoy this memoir that takes its readers to most exclusive shopping destinations and dining places in Europe, with focus on Spain, France and Italy. This is a true story about a makeup artist who became one of the world’s biggest Hermes (specifically Birkin bag) resellers. Don’t pick this up looking for a career advice, this guy had crazy luck and more guts than anyone I know. He literally did what they always tell us to do, he followed his dreams, and voila, he made it. Actually, that could be a valid career advice :)

Me, reading Bringing Home the Birkin in Cuba

Happy reading!

These Cherry Red Dr. Martens are a part of their 50th year anniversary collection.

I was lucky to get mine at 50% off at Neon store closing sale on Queen St. yesterday. I literally bought them last minute, before they closed their doors for good. Well, at least for a few weeks, until they renovate and open up an official Dr. Martens shop!

The green cargo pants are from H&M, $39.95! Top: Zara. Bag: Winners.

Sizzling Summer Accessories

Hope you enjoy this guest blog post by Pammy Friedmann who also writes for MyJewelryBox, a North American online jewelry store:

.

The dog days of summer may be hot, but they’re also sultry and steamy. It’s a perfect time to strut your stuff with sexy summer accessories.

Jessica Szohr is an example of how a few choice pieces can take a look from great to electric. The right jewelry and bag make this outfit the ultimate in boho chic.

Cool Shades For Bright Days

Summer sunshine makes sunglasses a must-have. Stock up on a variety of colors, styles, shapes and use them to accessorize all your outfits. A pair of Rhinestone Butterfly Sunglasses or the equally appealing Animal Print Sunglasses go a step beyond ordinary and add subtle but certain pizazz to everything from bikinis to tanks and tees.

Guys, too, can beef up the impact with a cool pair of sunnies. Turn heads with the Ray Ban Classic Aviators or be fashionable with the larger styling of the Maui Jim ‘Stingray’ Polarized Sunglasses.

.

Sunny days beg for hats. Stock up on a few fun, casual hats and add a jaunty flair to your image. Hats are the solution for limp, humid, summer hair and for hair that’s wet from a swim.

Fedoras are charming on girls and the Phoebe Fedora in woven straw is sexy and stylish, especially with longer hair. Guys can look equally sharp in the Kangol 2-Tone Diamond Trilby.

Show Off Your Jewelry

Bare skin cries for jewelry, and there’s no shortage of glam and bling to fire up your outfits. Belly rings make nifty beach jewelry. They stay out of the way and add zing to bikinis. The Caution Hot Warning Sign Belly Ring will spark interesting conversations and, if you want to look demur, the Amethyst Natural Stone Heart Belly Ring is all girl.

Anklets add charm to sandals, and flip-flops. The Smoky Bronze Glass and Crystal anklet has a classy look, while the Chinese Chrysoprase is casually chic. Stud pearl earrings are a tasteful summer accent when swimming is on the agenda. They won’t get tangled in your hair and they’re forever elegant.

Strutting In Style

While the temps are balmy, show off your pedicure on a steamy date with hot stilettos by Elizabeth & James. Guys can look equally classy in the Elias Sun-Washed Sneakers by Ralph Lauren.

There are endless ways to celebrate summer with sexy and sizzling accessories. Let imagination rule! Flaunt what you’ve got and indulge yourself in a few new additions. You’ll cut a dashing figure while out and about and keep your cool at the same time!
