Shirley
Where I like to shop: Holts and Aritzia. I just moved down here from New York so I haven’t done much shopping in Toronto.
My style: Simple but trendy with a little bit of an edge.
Favourite item: My Pedro Garcia shoes. I just love them, I’ve had them for a few years and I’ve had a lot of good times in them.

Monica
Occupation: Student
Where I like to shop: Holt Renfrew
My style: Classic with a young edge to it.
Favourite item: My Moschino bag, it’s vintage and I love it.
.
Sophie
Occupation: 1st year general arts student at McGill
Where I like to shop: Urban Outfitters, Over the Rainbow
My style: Dressy, I don’t like to look sloppy.
Favourite Item: I like my sweater; it’s from H&M. I actually took it from my sister’s friend and she doesn’t know about it.
Bag: I got this bag at Roots two years ago.
.
Tarik
Occupation: Freelance model and a DJ
Where I like to shop: At vintage stores, a lot of the clothes have more character there. Also you’re more likely to find something original – you won’t see everybody else rocking it.
My Style: Vintage with little inspiration from 70s Jamaican gangster movies. Also comfort – you gotta be warm and comfortable.
Favourite Item: The boots. This is probably one of the first winters since maybe grade 8 that I’ve actually worn boots during the winter time. I’ve always suffered for fashion. This year I’ve decided to get some proper boots.
.
Linda
Where I like to Shop: I’m from London, UK, but in Toronto I like to shop at Holts.
My Style: I like classics.
Favourite Item: My Hermes bag, I really like it.
.
Stephanie
Occupation: Student
Where I like to shop: Honey, BCBG, Anthropologie
My style: Trendy, fresh chic
Favourite item: I really like these jeans, I wanted a pair of black jeans for a long time and I found these at Honey.
Jacket: I love this jacket; the buttons have neat detailing on them.
.
Wayne
Occupation: Clothing designer http://www.wayneclarkdesign.com
Where I like to shop: Holt Renfrew, The Bay, just everywhere… I don’t’ get a chance to shop often, so when I do I kind of walk around and do everything.
My style: I think I dress too old for my age. I’d say classic. When you get to this age you have to be careful not to dress too young.
Favourite Item: My Gucci coat that I bought four years ago. Cost me a fortune but it is so worth it. It’s one of those things where you get what you paid for. The military style’s been in for the past few seasons so it’s great that I get to wear it.
.
Hirono
Occupation: Student
Where I like to shop: I really like Anthropologie.
My style: I get inspirations by looking at magazines, Elle for example.
Favourite Item: My skirt, I bought it in Japan.
.
Kaitlin
Occupation: Buyer for Over the Rainbow
Where I like to shop: I wear a lot of vintage clothing so I’m usually in thrift stores.
My style: Vintage, eclectic.
Favourite Item: My sweater/coat that I found on the floor at Value Village for $6.
I had sooooo much fun taking these photos and meeting these wonderful stylish folks :)
Thanks everyone!

Kaitlin’s coat is fantastic, what a find! She manages to make it look modern with the rest of the outfit and the way in which she’s styled it. Whenever I see something like that I have an urge to run out to the nearest thrift store and start rummaging.
The men’s coats are awesome. Tarik’s coat and scarf combo is great but his boots really put personality in his outfit. Wayne’s coat is punk and sailor at the same time – I should have asked for it for Christmas.
Great picks! I love your street style selection…Much better than those on BlogTO.
This was a great street style – especially for the winter. Everyone looks fantastic, and completely different. Really into Tarik’s style, and Kaitlin’s coat is undeniably awesome. Great job.
And the Chosen Ones dress, it was a fantastic deal – like $25 tax included!
Uninteresting and uninspired. Expensive clothes does not equal good style. Yorkville is filled with the most uninspired fashion choices.
love Tarik and Stephanie’s looks!
Wayne’s coat is awesome. Tariq’s whole look is really cool as well..but Stephanie take’s the cake. She makes her style look effortless. Love your blog!
How chic is Linda??? WOW!
wow! great style- to all of those people! i love their bags :)
this is a great post- i’d never be confident enough to go up to the people!
<3
Adrien – I’m interested in what sort of styles you find inspiring, which areas of the city would I be able to find those? Maybe I could go there for my next StreetStyle segment. I’d like to hear some suggestions from others as well.
Molly – I love doing this! You know when you see someone who’s dressed really well and you just wonder where they shop, well now I finally have an excuse to stop people on the street and ask them those questions :)
Hey, I just wanted to let you know your blog is awesome. Keep up the good work :)
You always have the best Toronto street-style photos. Love these!
I was JUST at yorkville today. so hectic ! but cute photos. i took my blogger header off. i’m contemplating vamping up a new one, putting it back on, or just keeping it simple and plain. its in the works !
xx lue
Monica, a student and shops at Holts??
I am doing something very wrong, people! WTH??
I agree with Jenn, you’ve a waaaaay better eye for style/fashion and photography than BlogTO.
That NYEve dress was smashing. You carried it better than the actor with the fake breasts [or something].
Stand near the Deep End next time [not Shallow] LOL.
Agreed, Stephanie rocks her gear.
Shirley, someone needs to tell her that that bag isn’t for bowling balls, gnome i mean? lol. Otherwise, well put together.
Wayne Clark shops at the fucking Bay? OMG.
Tariq, he better have a hat full of dreads, otherwise… No, wait, ditch the hat. A little too…. you know…..
Kaitlin’s bag just doesn’t cut it with that wicked coat. WTH? Buyer for OTR? Yikes.
Adrian, commenter, needs another cuppa bitters. oooo la vie c’est drole, eh? LOL.
