Today is the last day of my “no jeans for a month” fashion diet!
These photos were taken today at noon at the Yonge-Eglinton square.
I was tempted to throw on a pair of jeans when I had to run to a grocery store, or pick up the mail. I’m glad I took this challenge though, it made me realize I had a lot of “lazy” outfits, especially for school. I’d like to think that my personal style has evolved one step forward, with this diet and inspirations from my Street Style.
Top: Zara
Skirt: Club Monaco
Tights: The Bay
Boots: Kensie, Browns
Brown jacket: Zara
White coat: Vero Moda, The Bay
Belt: Fossil, Winners
I still haven’t decided what my next diet should be.
One of the ideas was “no black for a month“.

Congratulations!
I love the no black for a month – I think that would be challenging for me, but your wardrobe seems very colourfully diverse. Hmmmmm, no make up for a month? …I kind of love make up, I think that would be tough and very ‘naked’ at first.
Attempting to do no makeup for a month would be really brave. Especially because every time I don’t wear any, people ask me if I’m feeling ok. I’m naturally super pale and have invisible blond eyebrows :| I need my makeup :)
Maybe I’ll wait until spring to do a no black for a month. Sometime in April/May…
Just got a few interesting ideas via Twitter:
- statement piece jewellery
- different hairstyle very day
- different ways to wear a specific item
I’m especially liking the hairstyle one!
hey girl, i finally got back from vegas a couple days ago. i’ll work on that photo and try to get it to you soon. i cant believe its already been a month since ure fashion diet?? i dont know if you wear a lot of black, but what about a “no black” diet? it’d be impossible for me because all i wear is black !
xx lue

Kristy, I did some shopping in the area yesterday as well, discovered a pretty cute store, it’s called Poor Little Rich Girl. It’s a few blocks south of Englinton, on Yonge. Loved it!
Such a great outfit!! A no jeans fashion diet is definitely something I’d like to do. If only it didn’t required a significant investment in a new wardrobe…. Time to hit the consignment stores!
What about no heels for a month?
That would be cheating – most of my shoes are flats so I do have months when I actually wear no heels :) I need a challenge. I picked no latte for a year, you can read about it here: http://www.shopsterium.com/2010/02/my-new-fashion-diet-latte-vs-chanel.html
