Fashion bloggers’ obsession with Jessica Simpson shoes

Ever since Rumi of fashiontoast featured her pair of black  Jessica Simpson Dany wooden platform shoes, fashion bloggers all around the globe have been snatching them like crazy. The shoes have been long sold out, with the original price of less than $100.  If still you wish to buy a pair, the going price on on ebay is around $350 :(

My friend Roxi was lucky enough to find a pair in her size on shoebuy.com for only $120. She said the shoes were pretty comfortable despite the 5.5″ heel.

I think they look great, but unfortunately you won’t ever see me wearing a pair as the heel is a bit too high for me. I’d be over 6’4″ with those on!

Did you actually meet the FACEHUNTER yet. He is in Toronto, right?!

Who cares how tall you are Dejana, have fun with your shoes! I know you still have a few inches on me, but I don’t think anything of wearing my 5 inch heels and they make me over 6’2″!

Although sadly I’ve never found a pair of Jessica Simpson size 10′s that my foot will cram in, which is a shame since her line is reasonably priced (even though I’ve never been able to stand Jessica Simpson herself)

Corinna, I wish I had that kind of confidence. I’m constantly thinking that people actually get scared when they see me in high heels (judging by their facial expressions) lol!
I think 4″ is as high as I’m willing to go, for now :)

I want to hate them because it’s Jessica Simpson but I admit her shoes are cute. Who would’ve thought she would have a promising career as a designer?

My fav blogger The Coveted also wears them: http://the-coveted.com/blog/2010/03/03/knitted-and-laced/ .

I’m not sure if she’s really designing them? I always thought these celebrity lines (clothes, fragrances) are just using their name, sort of as a franchise, and the actual celebrity has very little say in what goes. I could be wrong…

I wish you posted more often, I just started becoming an active reader, and I feel like i’m staring at the same post over and over.

I post something new every day, not sure what you mean. Are you looking for more variety? If so, what topics would you suggest? Thanks.

No, I don’t think she designs them. I think the Olsens are the only celebrities actually designing. The Row and Elizabeth & James are the only celeb lines that I would actually wear. And maybe LAMB.

Those shoes are fantastic, I remember seeing them on fashion toast – you’re friend is so lucky!

I love how there’s this different scale of comfort for super high shoes, I always say, “yeah, there so comfy …for 4 inches”.

(and I do agree with Lucy’s last comment, I love seeing pics of you and your outfits – you have a great sense of style!)
