Founded in 2008, Wesley Badanjak’s LOVAS collection has already had two successful LG Fashion Week shows to date. Having closely worked with renowned Canadian designers, David Dixon being one of them, Wesley has been a vital part of Toronto’s fashion industry since completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design at Ryerson.
I recently dropped by his Mississauga studio where he’s currently working on his Spring 2011 collection, as well as some custom wedding dress designs.
After seeing them on the LGFW runway, I had to get my hands on those luxurious LOVAS Fall/Winter 2010 pieces and wear them for my bn-photography photoshoot.

Wesley describes the LOVAS woman as a strong, independent woman who loves fashion but is not a slave to trends. “She enjoys classic silhouettes with a twist and strives to look sexy and fresh. She strives for quality in her wardrobe and is not afraid of standing out in a crowd. For Autumn/Winter 2010, LOVAS Wesley Badanjak presented “Behind the Gates,” a collection inspired by memories and photographs of his paternal grandmother, Cecilija Badanjak. “While maintaining my signature LOVAS tailored daywear, I added a new sense of fluidity and softness with jersey, silk chiffon and silk charmeuse.”
