Meet Breeyn McCarney — Toronto fashion designer whose Hard-Boiled Wonderland collection ranks among my favourite for Fall 2010. Upon completing her studies in London, England, environmentally conscious Breeyn returned to Toronto to create a luxury line using 100% natural fabrics while leaving zero environmental impact.
Hard-Boiled Wonderland collection, named after Haruki Murakami’s novel, reflects Breeyn’s ability to find inspiration in any setting. “It’s important to be able to see beauty in the most bleak circumstances,” McCarney says. “The girl who wears the Breeyn McCarney label is quite feminine and is not afraid to stand out. She has young spirit and a distinct personality. She probably also loves to dance.” My friend Roxana and I (below) definitely fit the profile :) We loved wearing Breeyn McCarneys’s dresses and we thank bn-photography.com for capturing the moment.

EDIT by Jeanne Beker at The Bay
I had the opportunity to attend the launch of Canadian fashion icon Jeanne Beker‘s EDIT collection that was put together exclusively for The Bay.
Each EDIT piece represents a certain trend or style that caught Jeanne’s eye, it’s her ultimate must-have list for fall 2010. All items are under $200, and will be available at 65 Bay stores across Canada, starting September.
Jeanne's favourite piece - Faux fur jacket $150
another one of her faves - charcoal cape $195
I had to try it on! (thanks Nelly for taking the photo)
