Affordable? – $200-$250 per dress, so I’ll go with no.
Wearable? – All of the pieces were functional and wearable. Mind you, the hems are unfinished, so wouldn’t expect them to last more than a few washes.
Different? – Design – yes; materials – your average H&M. I especially enjoyed the accessories and shoes.

Given the special occasion and posh venue (Art Gallery of Ontario), I started planning my outfit early :) Emilio & Coco offered to style me for this event in  Campanula, a dress inspired by the national flower of Monaco. The dress will be available on their e-boutique as of Nov 13th, so I was the first person to ever wear it in public. So honoured, thank you Emilio & Coco!

The invitation said that Persona is a chic, modern version of the traditional charm bracelet. Being a sucker for charm bracelets, there was no way I’d miss this one. Plus, it was to be held at the Hazelton (where all the big TIFF stars are staying) so I figured I could even get stuck in an elevator with someone famous, hehe. Well, the funny part was that there was some elevator malfunctioning, but no movie stars involved.

Ok, back to Persona. In short: I really like it. Why: I’ve been looking for a perfect bracelet to pair up with my gold watch, and the one I’m wearing in the photo below is the perfect match. The best part is that the bracelet was a gift from the brand, and it came beautifully packaged.  I’ve been complemented on the bracelet numerous times, people notice it every time I have it on!

This is how you create your own persona: first you pick the bracelet (leather $40, silver $60), and then you mix and match the beads ($15-$60) and charms ($25-$30). It’s super easy to interchange the beads, so you can keep updating your look throughout the day.

I visited Extoggery on Avenue for the first time several days ago.  Used to small downtown consignment shops, I was  pleasantly surprised by the store size and selection of designer items at Extoggery. I could spend hours browsing through their handbag collection alone. Did I mention they also have shoes, sunglasses, coats, dresses, tops, suits…
